International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing ISPRS WG II/6 "System Integration and Interoperability" 2004-2008

Call for Participation

The new ISPRS Working Group II/6 "System Integration and Interoperability" will put particular emphasis on (a) Ontologies, (b) Geospatial knowledge representation, (c) Semantic and geospatial data(base) integration, and  (d) Component-based GIS. Our goal is to connect a number of prominent and active research scientists around the world to exchange ideas and results towards advancing geospatial interoperability. Together with a repository of useful resources and announcements, we plan to organise/participate in a number of related events, such as: ·           Joint ISPRS WG II/3 - WG II/6 Workshop on Multiple Representation and Interoperability of Spatial Data, Hannover, Germany, February, 22 - 24, 2006 ·           ISPRS Technical Commission II Symposium, Vienna, Austria, 12 – 14 July 2006 ·           ISPRS WG II/6 Workshop on System Integration and Interoperability, tentatively at: Rhodes island, Greece, September 2007. We also plan to publish the best works from these events in special issues/volumes.
